She Sells Seashells Haul

I recently did a haul from She Sells Seashells, since they sell Uber Chic Beauty products and it means I won't have to wait for the parcels to make their way all the way from the States to here in the UK, and having to pay taxes on top of it, instead I get to order it from a shop in the UK.

I wanted to see what the shipping time was like as well as checking out some other products from the store. These are the items I ended up getting.

Mystery Valentines Bag
Stamping Plate Storage Holder
Chevron vinyls

I have tested out some of the products already and I am very happy with what I got here.
Have you purchased from She Sells Seashells before?

OPI - ColorPaints

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a sneak peak of this look already. I had recently picked up some OPI ColorPaints at TK MAXX. I got the OPI - ColorPaints - Chromatic Orange and OPI - ColorPaints - Purple Perspective. Eagerly tried them out.

I'm just starting to get the hang of Instagram, I am sure you will see lot more fun from me there.

For this look I started out with Barry M - Gelly - Cream Soda.

On my Uber Chic Beauty stamping mat I took a bit of  OPI - ColorPaints - Chromatic Orange and OPI - ColorPaints - Purple Perspective and marbled them together, and pressed a stamper over the marble. I allowed it to dry on the stamping mat as well at that on the stamper head and applied a coat of Out the Door topcoat.  After the decals had dried I applied them to my nails and left one finger as an accent.

The little finger did not turn out quite how I had hoped, but I still think it's a fun look.

I quite like the idea of these ColorPaints, and will be cool to see what other looks I can pull together with these.

Pretty Serious Wired Nails

Today I have for you another Wired Nails look, you might have seen my previous Wired Nail designs, if not here is a handy link for you.

  1. Speedy Wired Nails
  2. Wired Nails

To make Wired Nails you need a sandwich bag or something similar to make decals on. If you got the Ãœber Chic Beauty stamping mat, then count yourself luck and use that. You also need a dotting tool and some nail polish.

If you are wondering why you have not seen the Red Wired Nails design that I did in this video, on my blog. Then I can tell you that Wine and filming nail art tutorials is just asking for problems. No Wine or Polish was spilled while filming this video, but mistakes were made.

Today I did the Wired Nail look using Barry M - Cardamom. I got away with only one coat so very happy about that. I think I got pretty much the entire Barry M - Gelly line now. They are quickly outgrowing their A - B drawer in my Helmer. If it continues like this, I will have to move out A and use the drawer for B only.

I really like this technique and it is something you don't see around very often which is cool. So easy to do and creates a unique look.
What do you think about Wired Nails?

Uber Chic Beauty - Fairytale 01

A while ago I purchased the Ãœber Chic Beauty - Fairytale 01 stamping plate directly from their shop. Since then Ãœber Chic Beauty plates have also become available from She Sells Seashells  a nail art shop in the UK.  This cuts down on shipping and VAT cost for us UK people, and I am very happy for that.

I had been pondering for a while which image to use from this plate, and settled on something cute, since Valentine's is coming up very soon.

I have really wanted to use more of my indie polishes and this time I got Girly Bits - Promise Me. This is actually one of the few mini polishes that I have, for a long time it used to be the only one and had a special place in a small Plexiglas Box for displaying purpose.

Girly Bits - Promise Me stamping using Uber chic Beauty - Fairytale 01 and L'oreal - Sweet Amethyst

Girly Bits - Promise Me is such a pretty soft pink polish with small hex glitters. There was still some VNL after 2 coats, but I am sure that would have been sorted with one more coat. It was not visible to the naked eye, you really needed to turn a macro camera at it to see.

I used my Clear Jelly Stamper to line up the "Princess" image on my ring- and little finger. The image was taken at an angle where you can't really tell that it is written twice on each nail, but I am so happy with how it turned out.
I think I am starting to get the hang of the usage of the Clear Jelly Stamper.
I also purchased one with a clear holder, and I think that works a lot better than the purple holder.

Love is Kind

I recently did a haul from Nail Artisan UK, one of the items I purchased was the Pet'la Stamping Plate - Textytext. I really loved two of the saying on the plate and decided to do my nails with this.

You might have seen them on my Instagram recently.

I didn't actually know that this was a quote from the Bible when I did my nails, but my friend Sam that you all know from GuestNails , informed me.

For this look I started out with two coats of Barry M - Pink Lemonade, and did the stamping using Barry M - Acai Smoothie and Pet'la Stamping plate - Textytext.
I really like the end result here, and think it would be perfect for Valentine's.

What are you going to wear for Valentine's this year?

Work -appropriate nail art

A nail polish in this post was gifted to me, nothing else to disclose.

Today I have for you another work - appropriate polish, that packs a touch of holo.
It is from Ard As Nails, (link to my other posts from this brand), and I have had so much fun checking out that company. UK might not have loads of indie companies on the market, but the ones we have are really good.

Ard As Nails is an Indie (Handmade) Nail Varnish range created by the makers of Soap-Dodger. Their nail polishes are all 5 free, cruelty free and Vegan friendly.
If you want to find out more about 'Ard As Nails, you can head over to Ard As Nails Facebook Page, or their shop Soap Dodger .

I started out with two coats of polish on my nails, this polish seems to have less holo packed in it than the previous polish that I showed on this blog

Ard As Nails

I recently did a review over at my Youtube Channel for the BornPrettyStore - Jumbo Stamper.

Using Uber Chic 3 -03 and L'oreal - Sweet Amethyst, this is the look that I came up with.

I am very satisfied with the look today, and the stamper did not let me down.
I think my nail-buddy is going to be very happy with this.
